The Work Area menu contains commands for working with work areas to isolate document revisions from the Main area while they are in progress. The Work Area menu is visible only when you are viewing a work area and the root of the work area is selected.
The following table briefly describes each command on the Work Area menu. Refer to topics elsewhere in this guide for details.

Open Sub-Work Area |
Displays a list of subwork areas to open within the current work area. |

Assign Documents to this Work Area |
Displays a vault browser dialog for selection of documents in the Main area to assign to the current work area. |

<TransitionName> <WorkAreaName> |
The menu lists available work area transitions based on the current work area’s template and current state. |

Assign Roles |
Displays the work area’s current security role assignments and allows authorized users to add or remove role assignments. |

Properties |
Displays the property pages of the current work area in a new resizable window. Tip Useful if the property page pane is cleared. |
Note Your ability to access and run any command depends on your security role memberships and the current scope.
